Pylontech in Home Assistant Energy Dashboard #523

Home Assistant shows OpenDTU-OnBattery changing the Non-Persistant as well as the Persistant Limit of my inverter

If you do not know the impact of changing the Persistant Limit of an Inverter, no need to read further (what you do not know, won't hurt you).

OpenDTU-OnBattery Dynamic Power Limiter DPL does not change the Persistant Limit of the inverter!
DPL only sends Non-Persistant Limit commands to the inverter.

By design, the Inverter reports only one value, without specifying whether it is Persistant or, Non-persistant.
There is no possibility to ask the inverter whether its limit is Persistant or Non-persistant (address your complaints to Hoymiles, not to OpenDTU-OnBattery).

As a result of the above, Home Assistant reports the same value under both Non-Persistant and Persistant.
