Automatic Extraction & Classification

We are excited to announce Automatic Extraction & Classification Version 1.1.0! This new feature leverages automatic text extraction and classification to elevate your experience and enable faster and more efficient secondary analysis.

We understand manual extraction and tagging are resource-intensive, especially during critical response times. Automatic Extraction & Classification Version 1.1.0 aims to alleviate that burden.

What’s New:

  • This release takes it a step further by automatically extracting and classifying salient content by building on our existing “Assisted Tagging” capability that suggests relevant classifications for manually selected excerpts. automatic-1
  • Clicking on 'Recommend Entries' triggers the extraction and classification process. automatic-3
  • You retain full control to modify, save, or reject suggested classifications as needed. automatic-2
  • The option to manually select and classify excerpts remains available.
  • The option to manually select excerpts and have assisted tagging remains available.

For now, accuracy is highest with the Natural Language Processing (NLP) friendly framework available on DEEP as “DEEP Generic NLP Enabled Framework.” Improving performance with custom frameworks is a priority in upcoming releases.
