The Vehicles
The most known vehicles seen in Stargate, all of which are pilotable & have different functions. They can be found under the Ships section of the Gmod Stargate Tab. The functions controls can be changed in the Controls Section of the Stargate Tools tab – those listed below are the defaults.
Death Gliders are Goa’uld fighter/bomber interceptor vessels capable of both atmospheric and space flight. They are armed with dual staff cannons and are crewed by two crewmen. They also sport inertial dampeners giving them an advantage over human made Earth fighters.
Press Use once near the Death Glider to enter it.
Default controls:
- WASD – moves the Death Glider
- Left mouse button – fire dual staff cannons
- Mouse wheel – roll
- Mouse3 – reset roll
A shuttle used aboard the ancient ship the Destiny, it is armed with two potent energy weapons, shields and has old ancient sublight engines. Two known vessels were housed on-board the Destiny, the Destiny expedition crew uses them to gather supplies and explore planets.
Press the use key near the front to enter.
Default controls:
- WASD – moves the Destiny Shuttle, W forward, A(strafe) left, D(strafe) right and S backwards
- SPACE – ascend
- CTRL – descend
- Left-Click – fire the energy weapons
- Alt – toggle the shields
- Backspace – triggers the self-destruct
The human made F-302 is the fighter and interceptor of the Tau’ri, capable of both atmospheric and space flight. Armed with AMRAAM rockets and railguns, they are launched from planet based bases or ships.
Press Use when standing on the F-302 to open the cockpit, then once it is open press Use again while standing over the cockpit to enter the vehicle.
Default controls:
- WASD – moves the F-302
- R – select weapons
- Left Mouse button – fire selected weapons
- Shift – engage main rocket engine for thruster boost
- H – hide HUD
- Alt – flares
- CTRL – toggle landing wheels
- 2 – ejector seat
- Right-Click – track missiles
- Mouse wheel – roll
- Mouse3 – reset roll
Needle Threaders are small, two-man Goa’uld vessels capable of traveling through a Stargate. They are armed with dual staff weapons, was once used by General George Hammond at the weapons station and Teal’c piloting the vessel.
Press Use once near the Needle Threader to enter it.
Default controls:
- WASD – moves the Needle Threader, W forward, A(strafe) left, D(strafe) right, and S backwards
- SPACE – ascend
- CTRL – descend
- Left mouse button – fire dual staff weapons
- Mouse wheel – roll
- Mouse3 – reset roll
A Puddle Jumper, also referred to as a Gateship, is an Ancient fighter/bomber/transport vessel stationed at city-ships. They all have a small quantity of drones to use as offensive and defensive weapons, as well as cloaking devices that were turned into shields by Dr. McKay and Dr.Zalenka.
Press Use when standing next to the controls inside the cockpit to enter the Jumper.
Default controls:
- Shift – opens the drive pods
- Q – opens the weapon pods(drive pods must be open)
- WASD – moves the jumper, W forward, A(strafe) left, D(strafe) right, and S backwards.
- Space – ascend
- Ctrl – descend
- Left mouse button – fire drones (only while weapon pods are open)
- Right mouse button – activate drone target lock to wired XYZ input.
- Alt – activates the cloak
- H – toggle HUD
- 1 – switch between 1st and 3rd person view
- 2 – toggle back door (only while drive pods are closed)
- R – activates the DHD
- F – searchlights
- Mouse wheel – roll left/right
- Mouse3 – reset roll
- G – activates the shield
- Backspace – triggers the self-destruct
To wire a jumper to acquire an automatic target lock, one must have a Target Finder and a Beacon Sensor. Wire “X”, “Y” and “Z” on the jumper to the “World_X”, “World_Y” and “World_Z” on the Beacon Sensor.
Then simply wire “Target” on the Beacon Sensor to the “1” on the Target Finder.
A Tel’tak is a small Goa’uld, Jaffa, Lucian Alliance and Tok’ra transport vessel, equipped with both sublight and hyperspace engines, as well as Goa’uld Transportation Rings, of course. There have been examples of examples modified version of the Tel’tak to incorporate shields and a cloak.
Press Use once near the Tel'tak's control interface to enter it.
Default controls:
- WASD – moves the Tel’tak, W forward, A(strafe) left, D(strafe) right, and S backwards
- SPACE – ascend
- CTRL – descend
- SHIFT – Boost
- BACKSPACE – triggers self-destruct
- Alt – toggle the cloak
- 2 – toggle door
- ENTER – landing mode
- R – engage hyperdrive
- 1 – Toggle view perspective
Wraith Darts are dart-shaped fighter craft piloted by the Wraith. Utilizing energy or plasma weapons they are capable both as fighters and bombers. Darts are also used to cull people, beaming aboard humans for which the Wraith to later feed upon.
Press Use when standing next to the Dart to enter it.
Default controls:
- WASD – moves the dart
- Mouse1 – Fires energy/plasma weapon
- R – activates the DHD
- Ctrl – Activates the harvester
- Alt – unloads entity stored in harvester
- SHIFT – toggle engine boost
- Mouse wheel – roll
- Mouse3 – reset roll
