Release instructions

Create a branch cut (create a new branch called release/x.x.x)
Update the version in setup.py and merge on release branch
On master, update the version in setup.py to 1 version ahead of branch
Set a tag on the release branch and create a release on Github.
Create the wheels from release branch and publish on Pip.
