Welcome to our CI/CD session. Here you will have instructions on how to create the Jenkins environment. And the code you will have to deploy.

  • Step one:
wget -q -O - https://pkg.jenkins.io/debian/jenkins-ci.org.key | sudo apt-key add -
sudo sh -c 'echo deb http://pkg.jenkins.io/debian-stable binary/ > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/jenkins.list'
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install jenkins
  • Step two: After installation save the temporary password to activate Jenkins initially. It can be also retrieved from here:
/var/lib/jenkins/secrets/initialAdminPassword

Navigate to "http://<your instance/vm ip>:8080" and initiate the Jenkins master.

  • Step three: Select "Suggested Plugins" installation type.

  • Step four: Create yourself an admin account.

  1. Navigate to "Manage Jenkins"
  2. "Manage Plugins"
  3. "Install SSH Agent Plugins"
