External

Overview

External are tools that come from other projects, outside Marakana. We copy/paste them here mostly for consistency, so everyone points to the same toolchain and is on same page.

Setup

Asciidoc

Make sure you only use our version of Asciidoc. To do so, simply add it to your path:

# Asciidoc Specific
export PATH=$PATH:/Users/marko/github/external/asciidoc

Omni Graffle

In Terminal: ln -s ~/github/external/omnigraffle-stencils/ ~/Library/Application\ Support/OmniGraffle/Stencil

(You may have to rm previous folders for your Stencils)

A2X Setup

1. I installed all this (under Requirements): http://www.methods.co.nz/asciidoc/a2x.1.html

2. Using MacPorts on OSX: http://guide.macports.org/#installing

3. A useful GUI here: http://porticus.alittledrop.com/

4. And had to this tiny adjustment: http://blog.peopleareducks.com/2009/12/04/installing-dblatex-from-the-latest-macports/

5. Update /opt/local/etc/asciidoc/dblatex/asciidoc-dblatex.sty and add the following section:
