In January 2021, WhatsApp introduced a new privacy policy that would allow Facebook to aggregate all of its users’ data across all of its services. The change of privacy policy in WhatsApp drove more than 100 million of its users to migrate to Telegram in January 2021 (Baloch, 2021). We conducted sentiment analysis on more than 70,000 tweets data to analyze the impact of the change in WhatsApp’s privacy policy to the popularity of these two applications. The report is uploaded in pdf format.
