Seem 6.9.5-7 cannot find on imagemagick download page anymore, Is that possible upgrade to latest version? |
Is it possible to just switch to the URL to the 'latest' release, rather than having to manually update every time ImageMagick has a release? This lists all the downloads: http://www.imagemagick.org/download/ |
I think the only thing that would preclude that is the per-version caching we do in https://github.com/ello/heroku-buildpack-imagemagick/blob/master/bin/compile#L16 - that having been said, it looks like the generic link that @cllns posted about does untar to a versioned folder, so we could probably just cache it there. I wouldn't want my imagemagick version to switch inside my app without me knowing What I'm saying is this buildpack should be renamed heroku-buildpack-imagemagick695 and then a new buildpack should be created for heroku-buildpack-imagemagick702 pointing to the newer imagemagick |
Not sure if you want to do this, but this is the current version of ImageMagick: http://www.imagemagick.org/script/binary-releases.php#unix
I didn't create this patch (it's not my fork), but I did install it.
