User stories

This is list of all the user stories raised in the lead-up to the face-to-face meeting in January 2016. It is for reference only - the stories here do not necessarily correspond to the components included in the project.

1. As a developer/tester, I want a sequence of documents so that I can develop/test an implementation against it.
2. As a developer/tester, I want to control the level of 'noise' and complexity in a stream of EBU-TT documents so that I can test my implementation against different scenarios.
3. As a playout service provider, I want to consume an EBU-TT Live stream so that I can incorporate it to my workflow
4. As a playout service provider/set top box developer, I want to create a stream of EBU-TT-D documents to verify how they will be rendered on the client.
5. As a broadcaster/access services provider, I want to archive EBU-TT Live documents so that I can I can reuse and distribute them after live transmission.
6. As a broadcaster I want to transport live subtitles from authoring clients to playout servers so that I can continue to provide subtitles to legacy systems.
7. As a broadcaster I want to transport live subtitles from authoring clients or playout servers to DVB subtitle encoders so that I can broadcast live subtitles using broadcast infrastructure.
8. As a broadcaster I want to transport live subtitles from subtitle clients or playout servers to adaptive streaming video encoders so that I can broadcast live subtitles using web infrastructure.
9. As a subtitle provider, I want to combine documents from alternating respeakers/stenographers into a single EBU-TT live stream
10. As the EBU I want an implementation of EBU-TT Live v0.9 to see if the spec is easy to interpret by developers.
11. As the EBU I want an implementation of EBU-TT Live v0.9 to see if the spec has any errors.
12. As the EBU I want an implementation of EBU-TT Live v0.9 to see if the spec is missing essential information.
13. As the EBU I want an open source implementation of EBU-TT Live v0.9 to promote it as easy to implement.
14. As the EBU I want an open source implementation of EBU-TT Live v0.9 to give others a jumpstart in implementing it.
15. As the EBU I want an open source implementation of EBU-TT Live v0.9 to set an example for other projects.
16. As a developer/tester I want a simple view of the text and times in a sequence of EBU-TT Live documents so that I can verify that they will be processed correctly.
