The Carrington event of 1859 is a daunting example of what these particles are capable of. We must be prepared for another one. The solar translator decodes the signals from the sun and extrapolates them, warning us of such an event in advance.

To run the api locally, clone the repo, move inside the api directory and run the following:

pip install -r requirements.txt
python -m flask run

To run the express server go to the solarFlare directory and run the following command

npm install 
npm run dev
