It would be nice if we could link who has participated in events and link them to videos (could do series as well, but I'm not sure if we can have one column reference either a video or series ID?) Since the old system was based on add your name to this video box which we could migrate?

not 100% sure on this, don't know how people will feel having permanently linked public lists of videos they've done?... feel like this could bring up far more GDPR requests and hassle later on?...

Whilst it could lead later on to more requests but I don't think we give enough credit for people's work? With the current system it has that inheritance and ends up with people who weren't involved in making the video getting credited by mistake? (although I suppose it could still happen with the new system but it adds a lot more people.
Also this wouldn't act on the old videos since you will need to click a button on the event page and link it to a series / video. What I was planning was a default opt-in but it would be simply updating the record again to remove their credits. We could have it in user settings to set a default action for their account so you can always default it to off. Another reason why I'd like it isn't just for the public site but also for things like creator studio where it has a "my" section and you can see just the videos you where involved in. But every director/admin will need to link their event to a video

I suppose that's true, I mean so long as you can control from your own account if all your credits can be seen/maybe disable individual credits too then that could be okay
