enhance security by logging out when computer logs out #11149

Yes, I just checked this again. I had shut down Wire without logging out, and when I started up my computer again after it was shut down, and logged into Windows, and then opened Wire, it opened and brought up all my conversations without asking me to log in. I am using the Wire app for Windows, so maybe you need to add/change the message when I try to post a new issue in wireapp/wire that if it's a desktop application, to give the proper branch to post that in, not the wireapp for web one. |

Could you please move this back to an issue? |

Again, same version, noticing that Wire is not logging me out when I choose to quit, and so when I open the application again, there are all my messages. If I was a policeman and had gotten a cellphone and it had no lock screen, then opened Wire, there would be all the messages. |

The reason I am posting here is that, in teh wireapp/wire repository, when putting an issue there, you say that if I'm using Wire for Web, to post here. When I go to Wire -> About, I see that I'm using Version 3.24.4036, Wire for Web Version 2021.04.01.08.46, even though it's a standalone Windows application.
Kaspersky says that the link that you give at the beginning of this box, what's my user agent link, http, "Certificate verification problem".
When I log out of Wire, then Wire will log out, but when I open up Wire again, it used to, maybe does not now, but used to log right in automatically and access all my messages. When I have Wire open, but don't explicitly log out, but just close the program or shut down the computer, when I restart the computer, and open Wire, it automatically signs me and thus downloads all my previous messages. I'd like to see that Wire signs out the user when the computer is shut down, when the user logs out. If it logs out when the user locks the screen, unfortunately, I think that maybe many users would choose rather to not log out or lock their cellphone. That brings up another issue - I don't want to be chatting with a user who does not have an access code to lock their device. In Canada, the police can search a person's device without consent, but are prevented if there is a lock code, whatever it's called. Thus, I think that Wire should not be allowed to work unless both chatters' phones have that access code active, so that a person cannot just open up the device and start looking at all the previous chats. In Canada, there is not that freedom of expression as people suppose, but people have gone to jail just for chats. So that's one issue, and the other one is that Wire should log out the user when the user logs out or shuts down the computer. But even then, the thing is, there should be an automatic lock of some sort. What happens when the police burst onto someone or into someone's dwelling, and maybe they see a Windows lock screen, then they insert their little device, get past the Windows lock screen, and then open up Wire with all the conversations? Maybe you all can think of some way to enhance security.
