we need to think about design when we launch 2.0

The current one is good, but not enough text is there :-)

looks indeed nice. But our current page is also not bad :-)

It's not bad and it's fairly readable, but I think a visual re-launch
for 2.0 would be appropriate as it's important to grab people's
attention and let them know the manifesto exists. (Along with some sort
of coordinated media effort - a few articles and blog posts, you guys
have a fair bit of clout.)

The problem is that us geeks are not very good at the artistic stuff.
From my experience on open source conference teams, the best way to
solve this problem is to just hire somebody because the efforts of
non-artists always fall short. I can privately provide the names of the
Australian designers we've used if that helps.
Obviously, we can do the implementation if we have the design to
follow/cut up.

Is pooling a small amount of funds doable? Maybe there is a free/open
source oriented organisation who can help sponsor.
