If you have attempted a fork sync or
git pull
after 1 AM, August 4, 2024 (CEST), you may have encountered an errorfatal: Need to specify how to reconcile divergent branches.
, or one that is similar. This is happening because we have had to overwrite some recent commits to remove unwanted data from our repository. This only affects commits until and not including tag/version2.0.0
. We highly recommend that you start with a fresh clone if you're working with elAPI's repository without any un-merged local commits. If you have local commits that are yet to be merged (and are now divergent), and you would like to keep your working commits, we recommend that you follow this guide.
