Find a problem to tackle by:
a. Finding an already existing GitHub issue that describes the problem.
b. Making a new GitHub issue.
Discuss your problem/solution with others on the discord server under #sharik-general or the project's dedicated channel
After everything is good, start by creating an issue on the open-source project's repo. Follow the Best Practice for GitHub Issues mentioned below
After the approval from the maintainers of your suggestions, fork their repo and start working on your solution
After you complete your implementation, push your changes to ISSUE_TYPE/ISSUE_NAME where:
- ISSUE_TYPE = feature for addition/improvement to codebase, bug for solving bugs
- ISSUE_NAME = a short name that describes your contribution
- Example: feature/improve_table_layout
Make a PR on the main repo from your forked repo
Resolve any issues from the maintainers' feedback
After your PR gets accepted and gets merged to main, let us know on discord so we can throw a party! 🎊 🎊 🎊
