I created a custom component for the history timeline on the About page (https://strudel.science/strudel-web/about/background/) and it could use some styling.

I would love to be able to assign different icons to particular events (a la https://mui.com/material-ui/react-stepper/#customized-horizontal-stepper) but not sure how to do so.

The boxes under Motivation are also currently styled on each item. It might be nice to abstract that to a generalized component.
