When an external microphone is connected, a USB audio 1.0 can be seen in the settings, but this option cannot be selected. The sound received in the obs is still the sound of the iPhone microphone, not the sound of the external microphone. Please ask how to set this up. ?

tl;dr; -- You can use the official Apple TRRS adapter for the iPhone; it works with lightning at least, and I'd assume with USB too.

At the moment, Apple doesn't seem to allow all USB microphones to work with Safari, so this is a bit out of my control. I am looking to add more support for USB audio devices via the native vdo.ninja app at some point, where I have more control, but this will probably not be until next year.

I have used an external microphone adapted for iPhone, and the recording program on iPhone is normal. Also, I can see the USB audio 1.0 device in the audio options of vdo.ninja, but I cannot select this device.

I do understand.

If you can find a website-based application that supports your microphone, please let me know and I'll fix VDO.Ninja. However, I do not believe this is an issue with VDO.Ninja, but instead with Safari.

I don't believe however that Apple treats Safari the same way it does a native application. Apple also doesn't really allow for third-party browser engines, so you can't just use a different browser either to fix the issue.

Please see the entire video I linked to for details, as I explain it all there.
