Building the tar file from source via https://csg.sph.umich.edu/abecasis/Metal/download/ will throw compilation errors during runtime.
Removing
-staticflag from Makefile should allow this executable to compile and build in MacOS with Apple Silicon.Does not need to merge as is not included in the original repository, but might be helpful for users with MacOS who are interested in using this tool.
