Bitcoin is a decentralized, permissionless payment network. Both of these properties are highly dependent on how many people can easily interact with the technology, and that's where good user experience design can make the difference. So I am working to support design, and designers, working on open-source Bitcoin applications in a few ways:

• Actively helping organize the Bitcoin Design Community by writing a newsletter, organizing calls and project collaborations, presenting at conferences, and many other small things that arise
• Helping write and shape the Bitcoin Design Guide, a resource for designers to find their way around open-source/open-design in general, and designing for Bitcoin in specific
• Working directly with open-source Bitcoin projects to improve design and their design process
• Creating and maintaining design resources like the Bitcoin Wallet UI kit, a hardware & accessories illustration set, and a Bitcoin icon set

It's super interesting work in many ways. I'd love to continue dedicating my time to it, and that's easier with funding. I do have a grant from Square Crypto for 2020, but I thought I'd also set up this profile to open another door.
