Here you see that most reads contain a mass error in relation to the template and the final consensus chose this error instead of FS. While another read supported FS and the other reads being placed in relation to the germline practically indicates that the germline sequence is close enough, but as this one is not likely to make mass errors this sequence could be a more likely candidate for the final consensus. Or at least it would be super neat if we could take supporting fragments into account.
