I just heard of Xiki, a self-proclaimed "commandline revolution".
It has several eye-candy features and is getting real popular on Kickstarter.

One of it's features is fuzzy-selecting things on the commandline. But there's selecta, which is a very simple way doing just that.

@livibetter commented that he saw countless alternatives for it on several languages - some even better supporting, say, regexps and multiple selections.

Could he share some insights on this? For example, his favorite alternative or why doesn't he like these kind of initiatives.

Just to be clear, I believe I only wrote I don't like Xiki in the email, you can copy/paste if you want.

As for selecta, I don't have favorite since I don't use it. Nothing against using it, just I don't find myself have a lot of chance to use it. But, there was once, I wished I still have one installed, but that was just being lazy at the time.

I have some binned, but I rather not digging them out as they usually are named with creativity. I'd have to go through one by one to check if that's a selecta alternative. If you want, you can search my video using "menu," I think you can find at least two. Can't really remember.

Sometimes, I really hope people check trending or ask before they start re-invent again.

I thought this would already conclude with my email reply, you really like to put me on the spotlight.
