Customizing deleted method name?

This is rather a small change and you can solve with an alias, but any chance we can make the instance method also customizable?

Right now, it's hard coded to "deleted?", but I have a convention in my app (bc I share the code with a typescript front end) to call it just is_deleted (Without the question mark).

Would you be open to a PR enabling this?
