I did npm install. why do i need to do a "$ npx pod-install". and when i do it tells me I have no IOS folder

Scanning for pods...
No 'ios' directory found, skipping installing pods. Pods will be automatically installed when the 'ios' directory is generated with 'npx expo prebuild' or 'npx expo run:ios'. Learn more: https://docs.expo.dev/workflow/prebuild/
