Perhaps unintuitive only to a newbie (such as me) the error Invalid downlink type: (with nothing listed afterwards) when running goesrecv actually means one of the [Demodulator] items in the sample config file needs to be uncommented.

See also the ./etc/goesrecv.conf

It is unfortunate that the error does not more explicitly mention this.

I can submit a PR later, once I get my gear working. Otherwise feel free to close this issue as a reference for other newbies that may encounter this error.
