Hello,
Loving the outlander client - could you please provide a very basic walkthrough on how to set up travel scripts? I'm looking for scripts to get me around the world i.e. Crossing to Riverhaven, to Shard, etc. I am super lost in all of the script threads. Could some please provide a very basic walkthrough on how I can set up from start to finish these travel scripts for Outlander?

Are there any other scrips that are must-have for relative beginners ( . I am coming back to DR after a 20 year hiatus :/ . )

Thank you!

This is something that I've been wanting to do for a while - some "getting started" videos.

  • Intro to Outlander
  • Setting up and using maps, #goto, basic travel
  • Basic scripting
  • Working with and creating windows
  • Specific commands, such as #var, #echo, #parse, etc.

Here's a repo of scripts that I use: https://github.com/joemcbride/outlander-osx-scripts

Main ones you may want to start out with:

  • automapper.cmd: used with #goto command to travel with maps
  • collect.cmd: when you have roughly 50 ranks for foraging, you can collect rocks and to train Outdoorsmanship and Perception. .collect rock
  • disarm.cmd: use to disarm boxes
  • hunt.cmd: hunting script
  • tmhelper.cmd: used by hunt.cmd and will use tactics when using targeted magic, or will also be used if using a ranged weapon and not poaching/sniping (I should probably rename this to hunthelper.cmd)
  • simpletravel.cmd: can use this script to travel between multiple maps using waypoints or room numbers. For instance, if you're at the Crossing Bank and want to travel to the Brook out the west gate, you would use: .simpletravel "w gate" brook
