Bricked after installing PK and enabling secure boot #596
Comments
Why were you trying to install platform keys and not using a normal installation of Windows? Sounds like you may need to remove the SSD and place it as a slave into another PC, wipe the disk, and reinstall from scratch? |
https://community.intel.com/t5/Intel-NUCs/How-to-install-custom-secure-boot-keys-PK-KEK-db/m-p/693584 Seems like this is a KNOWN Intel error (see the forum post where an Intel employee got the same error). |
Pinning this to increase visibility as I suspect many people will try to enable secure boot in order to install Windows 11. |
either you have warranty and RMA if possible i wonder where is the key stored at, if is in TPM/fTPM SPI flash bios does not change much unless we can have a ROM version that patch the secure boot option default as false |
I just upgraded Windows 10 to Windows 11 without any workarounds. It seems that secure boot only needs to be supported but does not need not be turned on. |
I lost hdmi and dp output. computer start and there is no output on display. also is no booting
I try to reinstall windows and when I set install platform key computer not start anymore and no video output
there is any chance to restore bios ????
