Ethernet working but undetected in Network settings #547
Comments
I highly doubt that is the case. If the ethernet is "unplugged" you're probably connected to the internet through another interface like Wifi or your USBC dongle. Check your network settings for the device with a green dot on the left. With regards to the actual ethernet, can you try both ethernet ports? |
I am uploading a video to show the issue. Wifi is off, both ethernet ports "work" but do not show an IP address in Network settings. |
in my case, sometimes the ethernet port is down, and I have to restart the computer to get it back. pretty weird |
the worst thing is... I am outside my home and my hacmini is unreachable again... my router says it's not even connected |
Describe the bug
Ethernet is working but is listed in Network settings as "cable unplugged" and some software I use is unable to work because it requires an IP address and is not able to find it (specifically dante virtual soundcard). Using Safari/Mail/other apps I am able to access the internet.
Expected behavior
It detects and gives an IP address in Network settings
