Hi @silentpeaker , Are you installing NCEPlibs-external directly or as part of spack-stack (or HPC-Stack)? Regardless, I think @natalie-perlin or @ulmononian may be able to offer some suggestions. Best, |

Please provide the instructions you're following / command(s) you're using to generate this error. The error occurs when the command(s) you're running boils down to:
If so, that's reproducible:
However, see this comment -- spack-stack is a more appropriate tool for this task. If you're using hpc-stack, perhaps someone else with more recent experience can chime in. |

I'm trying to run the UFS Short-Range Weather App locally on my computer since I'm not associated with NOAA nor any US government or educational institutions in any way, the documentation suggests that in order to configure platforms outside level 1 and 2 you must follow some steps prior installing the stack-pack and the app itself.
The problem
While cloning NCEPLIBS-external into my machine (linux-mint) I get prompted in the console for a Bitbucket username and password for the following link:
https://bitbucket.hdfgroup.org
Therefore "I failed to clone hdf5", since I didn't find something similar along the documentation about a bitbucket account nor is explicitly said I do not know if this is some sort of novice mistake made by myself or if I missed something.
Thanks.
