Audio device, look and feel, and back story

Some ideas have been made about giving the badge more of an industrial design look and feel, to create a pocketable device and give it more use after the event.

Following on from the audio/media playback/recording device idea, here's a backstory.

We're in the Netherlands. A hacker found a box of interesting electronic junk at a kringloopwinkel, and on getting it home found it was a dusty collection of unreleased prototypes from a major dutch electronics company in the early 1970s. Among them was this audio device light years ahead of its time...

We probably shouldn't say Philips. But we can suggest it, an more importantly borrow liberally from their 1960s/1970s design language.
