Transitions / animations on dropdown

Hi,

How could I put transition on dropdown open/close?

CSS solution would be preferable but jQuery animate would also work.

I have tried but dropdown still opens instantly:

.ts-wrapper {
    -webkit-transition: all .5s ease-in-out;
    transition: all .5s ease-in-out;
}

.ts-dropdown {
    -webkit-transition: all .5s ease-in-out;
    transition: all .5s ease-in-out;
    opacity: 0 !important;
    visability: hidden !important;
}

.ts-wrapper.dropdown-active .ts-dropdown {
    opacity: 1 !important;
    visability: visable !important;
}
