Can we remove the read emails from unread list?

It's really the best email app I've used in Mac, everything works perfect for me, only one thing I was a little bit dislike is the read emails are kept in the Unread list unless I click to any other folder and turn back. Can we do the improvement to make it removed from there once I read it? Thanks.
