Installation Issue #3

Which OS and version of Brackets are you running? |
I have the same issue. After installing the theme for Brackets and selecting it I got a light theme. My OS is Windows 7 SP1. The Brackets' version is Release 1.10 build 1.10.0-17483 (release 024bee940). |
I was able to reproduce this using a VirtualBox Windows 7 image and it seems to be a OS specific problem regarding the LESS CSS file import statements since it works fine on Linux. There must be a problem with the path resolution, maybe the good old known slash vs. backslash ( The console logs:
@k0decraft @Southeaven Can you create a issue in adobe/brackets for it? You can link back to this issue to use the console log as reference. |
Any updates on this issue? |
@FiGOBLAC It works fine on my main machine (Arch Linux). It might be a unresolved upstream problem so the the author of this issue should open a new issue in the adobe/brackets repository and mention me so I can keep track of it. |
Sorry guys for the late response. My OS is Win10( latest version ). I am also on the latest release of Brackets( v1.11 ). |
I've reported adobe/brackets/issues/13745 since it seems to be a problem of Brackets. The theme works fine on my system (Arch Linux) using Brackets version 1.10 and 1.11. The errors are only thrown on Windows 7- and 10. |
@arcticicestudio The same issue still exists. Just the standard light theme whenever I apply it. |
It looks like this is a bug of Brackets, see adobe/brackets#13745 (comment), so I'm currently blocked since this is a upstream/external problem. |
Thanks for the update. |
This issue is still present right now. Doesn't work for me on win10 20h2 |
@sheeepdev that is understandable, because adobe/brackets/issues/13745 is still open and hasn't been fixed in Brackets source code. This is not a bug in this theme but a problem about how Brackets handles the paths when loading imported Changing this theme by merging all files into one file to not use the Like described in adobe/brackets/issues/13745 a PR to fix this problem is always welcome so maybe you can try to solve it. Unfortunately my free time I have to work on my OSS projects is now already too limited so digging into Brackets source code to fix the problem is no option. Also Brackets might be discontinued/feature-freezed in the future because there are already other fantastic OSS applications like VS Code that provide by far way more features and is driven by a really large ecosystem and community. This means that this theme might also be feature-freezed so the effort is currently not worth it. |
@arcticicestudio you're right, thanks. |
Greetings,
I have been trying to install the Nord theme for Brackets on PC. When selecting the theme Nord in the Extension Manager after installation, I get a light theme. Not the cool blue theme I want.
I have the Nord theme installed on VScode and it's working as intended there. Brackets is where I have the issue.
I have tried both installing from the Extension Manager > Themes and using the zip file.
