The documentation for the installation is a bit unclear regarding the creation of the database:

cd ~/go/src/github.com/nnev/kasse && sqlite3 kasse.sqlite < schema.sql

It can be overlooked, if the user only wishes to install the software for testing purposes. Inserting a paragraph or something similar might make it more clear that this step is recommended.
