I downloaded the files from github *FlashForge_Marlin-0.15.1. I tried to follow your instructions to install on 3D20. I am stuck on step 5 when you talk about swapping the Dremel bin file with the decrypted one. I unzipped the file and can see two folders but they are empty (flashforge_firmware_tool and Marlin). So I can't figure out how or what to decrypt at this point. I searched the discussions, but everyone on here seems to be a decade or two ahead of me. I am not a programmer, obviously. I honestly don't even know if this will help. I had an error 103 code and thought I had a bad thermistor, swapped out the entire hotend but the code remains, so now I'm thinking it might be a coding error because the connectors and the wires have good connectivity. I'm afraid the motherboard might be toast so trying this as a last ditch effort to see if I can revive the printer for my kids robotics club. |

Please disregard. I figured out what everyone was talking about. For other novices like me:
I realize that might be super confusing except for perhaps that one dummy that is at the exact same spot that I am. But I was so excited to see the new user interface on my old dremel, I wanted to share. Unfortunately, now instead of heater error #103, now I'm getting E1 errror - so switching to this firmware didn't help me solve my actual problem. Now I'm busy learning about PID tuning - no clue what I'm doing, though. Good luck. |
