Adding hover tooltips could significantly improve the accessibility of the tool. However, it would require localising a large number of highly technical strings.

I imagine that we could start with English only, and see if it's useful. But I must say that I am not convinced that anyone would read a 30-line hover text explaining the meaning of Dᴛₒ in the orbit recurrence. So maybe this is a job for a documentation page in the wiki (in which case we don't really need localization, we can just trust Google Translate).
Localization is particularly painful for Russian, because we don't have a good point of contact. (We are also missing some translations in French: egg on Egg's face.)

How about displaying the description only when some key (such as Alt) is pressed? This is common in other games
