Feature Request: Browser and Desktop Compatible Template

I'd like to make an extension that's compatible for both web and the desktop app like GitLens and the GitHub Pull Requests and Issues extensions. However, the set up with the 2 different environments seems quite complex. I'd love a pre-generated template for an extension.

I recommend to start with a regular typescript extension and make it run in the web by following the steps in
