Doesn't respect CFLAGS

All of my CFLAGS are dropped when running configure.

I should see -02 -pipe -march=native, but instead, with 1.12.1, I only see -Wall

Please update m-n-d so that it respects and doesn't throw away CFLAGS

Just in case, do you have some patch for this? I've been playing with configure.ac settings a bit, didn't find a solution yet.
