GUI Black Screen / CLI tool unresponsive - OSX mac Sequoia

Testing to add English Language to a Sony Alpha a6700 bought in Korea did not work on OSX mac Sequoia. The GUI shows a black screen without widgets. The CLI tool is unresponsive.

Eventually following the linux instructions in Ubuntu using Parallels worked on OSX.

In the Sony Alpha a6700 only Asian languages where available in the language menu.
After tweaking all languages could be enabled. A restart of the camera was necessary to see the change in the menu.
