New HN submission after already posting doesn't show up

If there's a popular submission on Reddit and an old HN thread about it, the bot would post on the Reddit thread about it -- which is good. But if there's another HN submission after the bot already posted, then it will get ignored because the bot skips threads in which they already posted.
