This is such a great bundle. I'm not even sure how other Symfony-based image-heavy websites manage thumbnails, but I love this one.
But...
It's stuck between Version 2 and Version 3. And it'd be great to get to Version 3, using the latest PHP and Symfony and update the docs (e.g. #1581).
Alas, there are very few people with the skills to advance this bundle. Maybe at one of the conferences where there's a post-conference Hackathon this could be listed as a project looking for support? I dunno, I think I saw that once.
Anyway, @dbu thanks for everything you've put into this bundle, if you have some ideas on how we can help get it to Version 3, please lead the way!

thanks for the constructive suggestion. i intend to soon organize a hackday at liip to tackle this. we have a few people interested here who have not so far contributed. besides "just"modernizing PHP / Symfony versions, i want to more radically rethink the architecture/naming conventions used. things have been growing for a long time.
i would hope that in the end we can keep most of the usage and configuration the same, but some method names around "resolving" are really confusing and unclear.
an obvious place for a hackathon would be symfony con vienna, but that is 6 months away. if we don't get a 3.0 wrapped up before, I will propose a hackathon then (either as part of the official symfony hackathon if they do it again, or try to find somebody in vienna who can invite us to their offices after the conference)
