Bullet lists cause formatting issues

Current behaviour

When I use a bulleted list, the entire paragraph, including the line above the list, is bolded and the font size increases. It started a couple of updates ago (3.1.20 or 3.1.21). It doesn't happen if I include a blank space between the line above and the bulleted list.

Expected behaviour

I expected the formatting to stay the same, as it has always done in the past.
