Exporting the workout

Hi All,

I like to share some of my homework on exporting the Rower-data to other places (like Concept2 rower log, Strava and Garmin):

• A project that seems to be able to export rower data: https://pypi.org/project/rowingdata/

Alternative routes:

• Seems there are only two decent ways to get Indoor Rowing data from a Concept2 to Garmin: either through Ant+ or through the Concept2 logbook (see http://runnermate.eu/garmin/concept2/rowing/2020/07/13/Concept2_GarminConnect.html), I guess less popular equipment is even less supported
• https://github.com/inonoob/pirowflo has an export to FIT-files to Garmin and Strava. They also have ANT+ advertising working to the Fenix 6 (thus integrating the rower output to the recorded activity), which is an extremely expensive option (Watch more expensive than most rowers....)
• https://github.com/dhague/vpower also add a ANT+ virtual power meter (for a bicycle)

Hi,
As mention by Lars in description, the MyHomeFit App works with Open Rowing Monitor.
I use it also with my indoor bike and you can add other sensors like HR Monitor.
And you can export your workout log to TCX format that you can after import on Strava or directly connect the app to Strava :-)

Thanks for thinking along. I looked at it, looks pretty decent and it will do for now.

My ambition is to automatically upload all data when I finish, without the need for any apps in between. I kind of approach it as my Garmin scale, I just stand on it, I tell who I am and the device does all the bookkeeping like uploading to Garmin and Strava. Both can read TCX and FIT files, so it should be doable in the future.

I found a python repo that handles all issues with uploading a TCX to Garmin: https://github.com/La0/garmin-uploader

I've tested it, and it works well.
