In Stereo mode, does each of L and R get treated independently but using the shared channel settings? i.e. is it like "dual mono"?

The compression display only shows a single bar for the channel when in Stereo mode. Shouldn't it show two bars, one for L and one for R? i.e. like the mono display.

There is a menu option - it can be either dual mono or linked stereo. But either way there is only a single bar.
