I recommend the following change to the installation instructions:

To install:

  1. Open a new Finder window.
  2. Find FontForge.app in your Applications folder.
  3. Right-click on FontForge.app and select "Show Package Contents" from the popup menu.
  4. Navigate through the contents until you get to the pixmaps folder. The full path is:
    FontForge.app/Contents/Resources/opt/local/share/fontforge/pixmaps
  5. Copy the .png files in mac-fontforge-master to your FontForge´s pixmaps directory
  6. Copy the mac.theme file in mac-fontforge-master to a convenient location
  7. Launch FontForge.app. In FontForge's preferences dialog, choose the mac.theme file as the resource file.
