Describe the bug

Play a video with 7.1 audio. In Advanced Playback Settings, manually set a bitrate limit which results in the video being transcoded, but the audio direct plays.

  • EAC3 7.1 audio files will play at 1-2fps with no audio.
  • AAC 7.1 audio files will refuse to play and trigger Playback Error toast messages.

Direct Play Video + Direct Play 7.1 Audio = No playback error
Transcoded Video + Direct Play 7.1 Audio = Playback error
Transcoded Video + Transcoded 7.1 Audio = No playback error

The chart below reflects the outcome of playing various files at 5mbit/sec.
fppHE03

Please see this forum thread for multiple logfiles and examples of failed playback.
