I uploaded FrameNet Alignment Visualizer-0.1.0.AppImage to my desktop machine at ICSI, but could not get it to run. I then tried another app in the AppImage format, Archipelago, and couldn' t get it to run, either. The error message was:
[collinb@chia:~]$ ./Visualizer-0.1.0.AppImage
fuse: failed to exec fusermount: Permission denied
Cannot mount AppImage, please check your FUSE setup.
You might still be able to extract the contents of this AppImage
if you run it with the --appimage-extract option.
See https://github.com/AppImage/AppImageKit/wiki/FUSE
for more information
So I guess that this is a problem with ICSI's RHEL setup and not your AppImage executable. I did not test it any further. I am not too concerned about getting it running at ICSI, or on Linux in general. It would be nice if it ran on some of the more popular Linux distributions like Debian, Ubuntu and Mint, but I don't think this is urgent.
