Initial git settings of new EDA-related repository

Synopsis

The git-setting.sh script create empty repo in speciffyed location and set up required setting for EDA-related projects (at the first one: the proper .gitattributes and .gitignore files)

Getting Started

Prerequisites

You need to install the finger client:

yum install -y finger

Installing

Not needed to install

Usage

Just type:

./git-setting.sh /path/to/your/repo

that produce required settings and files into /path/to/your/repo folder

Limitation

This script works only with IO-location and standard constraints

Explanation of working

sed command explanation:

  • sed '1,8d' - cut first 8 strings of file

ToDo

  • ❏ Checking existence of $GIT_DIR, if not exist - create it by mkdir -p $GIT_DIR

  • ❏ Create typical EDA-project structure tree
