Not too surprised about this, since you weren't able to get HDMI console running with the instructions in the other issue. Unfortunately, the Odroid C1 seems to be really picky in regards to HDMI cables, so unless you can confirm that it's working with another distro, I really don't know where to start...
As I said earlier for me it is not such a big problem because I by default disable all videos to save max of ram.
But for this problem you should directly communicate with @umiddelb he could help you.
His distros worked without problem with Odroid C1 and HDMI with my cable.
