The header paragraph at https://github.com/glandium/about-startup/ refers to

https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/about-startup/

With listings for legacy extensions scheduled to disappear in early October 2018, you might like to remove the reference.

If you'd like to quote a Classic Add-ons Archive URL:

caa:addon/about-startup

I'll not be treated as a link, but users of the CAA extension will (at least) be able to paste the URL to the address bar, with this effect:
