UI freezing up while transcode-downloading

Describe the bug
Whenever I decide to download via transcode, it locks up the UI. I can't click on anything (although scroling works).
I was hoping to queue up a few episodes, let the app run for a couple hours and have my entertainment with me for later in the day.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to '...'
2. Click on '....'
3. Scroll down to '....'
4. See error

• Device: Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite
• OS: Android 12 iirc
• Version 0.17 (via app store)

The interface doesn't only lock up for me, but in addition it also never downloads anything regardless of how long you let it run.
